Assistant Professor
The University of South Carolina Upstate, Johnson College of Business and Economics, invites applications to fill a tenure track assistant professor position in business law commencing August 2015. Located in downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina, The Johnson College of Business and Economics is an AACSB accredited college whose mission includes serving the educational needs of the Spartanburg-Greenville metropolitan area along the I-85 corridor. The existing budgeted position is a retirement replacement commencing August 16, 2015.
The business law position carries a teaching load of 12 hours courses with release time granted for publications. A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school is minimally required. Plus factors would include a Master’s in business administration, accounting or taxation (or an LL.M in taxation.) A candidate qualified to teach taxation in addition to legal studies is especially sought.

Job Summary:
The Department of Political Science, International Development and International Affairs seeks a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor of paralegal studies for its campus located in Long Beach, Miss. This is a nine-month teaching contract and a tenure-track position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach classes, advise students, assist in the growth and promotion of the program, and research and publish scholarly work. The candidate will also assist in curriculum decisions and teach in both the traditional paralegal track and the pre-law track.
Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant professor minimum qualifications: J.D. or Ph.D. in related field
All applicants must have experience working with paralegals or as a paralegal.
Demonstrated ability to engage in effective teaching and research
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience in the paralegal field

Truman State University
The School of Business at Truman State University is seeking applicants for one full-time, tenure-eligible position in Business Administration-Business Law to start August 2015. Rank depends on qualifications.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate or graduate courses in the area of business law. Scholarly activity and output appropriate to the rank is expected consistent with the teacher-scholar model. Additional duties (after the first year) include advising, mentoring of students in research and other experiences, and service to the university and community.
Required Qualification: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
